Description
In order to solve a wider range of tasks on the rapid measurement of metal hardness, NOVOTEST offers hardness testers that implement the method of ultrasonic contact impedance (UCI) in accordance with ASTM A1038. A vibrating rod (mechanical resonator) with a diamond tip act as an indenter in these devices, when it indents into the material, the base frequency of the resonator changes, on the basis of which the hardness is calculated. The UCI Hardness Tester NOVOTEST T-U3 allows user to measure products from 1 mm thick without additional tools, and even less with the use of the UCI Probe Test Stand NOVOTEST for thin sheets, which makes it unique among analogues Using this device, the user can, without additional fixation and accessories, carry out hardness testing of products weighing just 100g or even less.
