Description

The Control Housing for WP-Series Coil is securely fastened to the mounded coil with internal aluminum custom fasteners. In turn, the Housing is of a Welded Aluminum Construction, and the Handle not only makes handling easy, but also protects the Control Actuators from mechanical damage. With the control panel also being anodized aluminum, the entire assembly makes an excellent heat sink to dissipate heat from the electrical or electronic controls, increasing the duty cycle considerably.

WP series coils are available in both 230V/50Hz & 115V/60Hz

WP-Series Coils are based on a Specially Designed AC Platform, with the ability to add Half -wave (Pulsed) DC characteristics as an AC/DC Yoke. The AC Output of WP-Series Coils is 30% stronger than any other Portable AC Coils. WP-Series Coils are being offered with 4 different Control Packages.

1.    Basic Models:  WP-8, WP-10, and WP-12 (Output of 4,000 Amp Turns AC)
2.    AC/DC Models:  WP-8D, WP-10D, and WP-12D (Output – 4,000 Amp Turns AC and 6,000 Amp Turns in DC Output.)
3.    AC/Variable DC Models:  WP-8DV, WP-10DV, and WP-12DV (Output 4,000 Amp Turns in AC and 0 to 6,000 Amp Turns in DC Output)
4.    AC/Variable and Reversing DC Models:  WP-8DVR, WP-10DVR, and WP-12DVR (Output 4,000 Amp Turns AC and 0 to 6,000 Amp Turns DC Output.

Regardless of the Control Option selected, Western Instruments offers an optional foot switch. The Foot Switch allows the Coil to be promptly activated by either the Energize Button or the Foot Switch. WP-Series Coils are molded from a robust Urethane Rubber, for years of durable service. A Foot is integral to the WP-Series Urethane Rubber casting, and is used to keep the Coil from Rolling, as an aid to handling, or as a mounting point.

WP-Series Coils meet industry specifications such as ASTM E1444 & E709, NAVSEA 271-97, and ISO 9934-3 for Portable Coils.
